Through its cooperating NGO in Denmark, The Association of Danish Folk High Schools (FFD), the GMN has enjoyed much support from the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) which includes building constructions, provision of funds for the Grundtvig Institute Graduate Self-Employment Loan Scheme (GIGSELS), staff exchanges and development in Denmark.

The Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria is part of an international network of similar Grundtvigian movements. The Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria is also a member of the Association For World Education (AWE), a global network for lifelong learners, educators and social change agents. Association For World Education (AWE) has consultative status to the United Nations (UN), with headquarters in Denmark.

If the school really is to be an educational institution for the benefit of life, it must first of all make neither education nor itself the goal but the requirements of life.
